THE HANDMADE’S TALE’S BRAND PHILOSOPHY IS TO PRESERVE THE TRADITIONS OF COMMUNITY, DESIGN, AND PRODUCTION BY EXAMINING WORK AND LIFE THROUGH STORYTELLING, PHOTOGRAPHY, EDUCATION, AND MAKING. WE BELIEVE IN THIS THERAPEUTIC HANDMADE PROCESS AND THROUGH SLOWER PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND SMALL-BATCH PRODUCTIONS,  WE LEARN LESSONS ABOUT BEING STEWARDS OF THE ENVIRONMENT.

Boundless Creativity Within A Sharing Ecosystem

We build a unique position within this concept of sharing resources which fosters intimate relationships between the younger audience and the senior generation. The brand’s beliefs are educated and shared through curated workshops and events.

For many men, the path to adopting the craft movement is blocked as craft is often depicted as ‘too feminine’ by our society. We believe that there should not be any bifurcation for craft hobbies THE HANDMADE’S TALE is not specific for one gender, just like how all objects, colours, and feelings should belong to both genders. We do not say that only females can tat beautiful things out of lovely coloured and textured yarn. There are so many benefits of craft hobbies that each and every person should be given the chance to learn and elevate their lifestyle and well-being.

Modularity and Interchangability in Designs

As we are well aware of the delicacy and fragility of handmade crafts, our modular design method allows parts of the woven or knit pieces to be easily adjusted or replaced if damaged, without having to discard the entire garment, making it much easier to manage and maintain the life-cycle of the garments.
